001458

.

.

~

.

MEMORANDUM

TO: Ray Tenney
FROM: Chuck Brendecke. Hydrosphere
SUBJECT: Progress Report for October. Yampa Basin Study
DATE: November 9. 1994
cc: Sue Uppendahl, Bob Norman

Our October work effort was devoted primarily to Tasks 6, 7, 9,10, and 11. Minor charges
were incurred in Tasks 1,4, and 5.

Charges to Task 1 reflect ongoing project management and administration activities.

Charges to Task 4 reflect expense charges incurred earlier by Muller Engineering.

Charges to Task 5 reflect documentation revision activities by Muller Engineering in response to
comments on the preliminary draft report.

Charges to Task 6 reflect additional model runs made to support more detailed discussions of
operating studies in the draft report. Model data extraction and summarization work in connection with
the final report has also been charged to this task.

Charges to Task 7 reflect additional documentation work on the Preliminary Environmental
Assessment. Some portions of the EA were incomplete in the preliminary draft report and others have
required some rewriting.

Charges to Task 9 reflect Muller Engineering efforts related to updating the project cost estimate
and developing construction staging and scheduling. This information will become part of Chapter 5 of
the draft report.

Charges to Task 10 reflect report revisions in response to comments on the preliminary draft as
well as new writing and graphics work for the draft report.

Charges to Task 11 reflect field work and documentation related to the diversion structures. A
separate draft report on diversion structures will be prepared once the draft project report is out for
review.

I anticipate our November effort will focus primarily on Tasks 10 and 11. Please call if you
have any questions or comments on our October work effort.

Hydrosphere Resource Consultants 1002 Walnut Suite 200 Boulder, CO 80302

Oct94.docDocument2 CREATED: November 09, 1994 II :20 AM, PRINTED: November 09, 1994 11:40 AM

_ ;.'l;,'~~:
