MEMORAND

~
~

'.

001425

.

DIR ./
SC 1./
ASC
F
I
L
E
-.- -

TO: Ray Tenney
FROM: Chuck Brendecke
SUBJECT: Progress Report for November - Yampa Basin Study
DATE: December 7. 1992

Our work effort in November was directed mainly at Tasks 1, 9, 10, and 11.

In Task 1, we participated in a Technical Steering Group (I'SG) meeting on November
18. I was out of town that day but Ed prepared a summary of the discussions which I am
reviewing. We will distribute this summary shortly.

In Task 9, we completed additional model runs, analysis of model output and prepared a
draft Task 9 Technical Memorandum which was reviewed at the November 18 meeting.

In Task 10, we developed an outline of permitting requirements for the enlargement of
Elkhead Reservoir, continued work on an overall development plan and schedule for the
Elkhead enlargement and have commenced work on the Task 10 memorandum.

In Task 11, we continued our work on the text and graphics of the final project report.
Four chapters of the draft have been through internal review at this point. We anticipate
having a draft of the report to distribute at the December 18 TSG meeting although the chapter
incorporating Tasks 9 and 10 may be incomplete.

I have set up a Task 12 to handle the extra work related to aerial photography of the
Elkhead site. We need to proceed with the paperwork to fund this task from the contingency
although I have not yet received any invoices from ITS. Merritt Dismant informed me that
they got the ground control and paneling in place but photography was held up by bad flying
weather. Now all the panels are buried under 6-12 inches of snow.

Please feel free to caU if you have any questions or comments on our November work
effort.

cc: Sue Uppendahl
Bob Norman

Hydrosphere Resource Consultants 1002 Walnut Suite 200 Boulder, Colorado 80302

~:\l'ftO~ecT6\\IlIi\T"'S"'\UNT1nEO CREATED: OECEMeEA 7, l~n 1~;42 PM PRlI<lTED, 0-......
