Yampa Basin Study

Our May work effort was directed primarily at Tasks 1 and 7.

In Task 1 we prepared for and participated in two Technical Steering Group meetings, one on
May 1 and the second on May 28. A summary of the first was circulated to the group.

In Task 7 we made a variety of additional model runs, most of them stemming from the decision
to represent explicitly the existing water uses under rights junior to the Juniper rights. These existing
junior uses were defined largely by the analysis prepared by Kent Holt of the Division Engineer's office,
Results of these runs were circulated to the TSG and discussed at both meetings, We are continuing the
refinement of these scenarios.

I anticipate that our June work effort will be mainly directed at Tasks 7 and 11, We will begin
assembly of our draft report and continue that effort in parallel with ongoing scenario evaluations.

Please feel free to call if you have any questions or comments about our May work effort. I will
be out of the office until June 15, but Ed Armbruster will be happy to assist you in whatever way he can,

.'

cc: Sue Uppendahl
Bob Nonnan

L:\PROJECTS\155\TASKl\MEM045.RDT 06/03/92 7:38 PM

Hydrosphere 1002 Walnut Suite 200 Boulder, Colorado 80302

~
