Yampa Basin Study

Our January work effort was concentrated in Tasks 1, 4, and 7.

lit Task 1, we prepared for and participated in two meetings, a Technical Steering Group (TSG)
meeting on January 13 and a meeting with the Moffat County Commissioners on January 27.

Under Task 4 we completed development of the basin computer model and have prepared a
draft of the Task 4 Technical Memorandum, This draft was circulated to the TSG for review at the end of
the month. It will be discussed at the TSG meeting scheduled for February 13,

Under Task 7 we completed a revised set of model runs for altt:rmiLive scenanos I, II, and Ill.
Scenario I is Lhc "no action" alternative which assumes no new water storage facilities and no insLrca.m
flow right for endangered fishes. Scenario n assumes an instream flow right but no new storage
facilities. Scenario III reflects enlargement of Elkhead Reservoir to 52,000 af. Summary outputs from
these model runs were circulated to the TSG for review and wiil also be discussed on February 13.

With this invoice we are over our estimated budget for Task 4 by $5,343.44, or 13%, 1 do not
anticipate further charges to this task unless a second draft of the technical memorandum is requested.
I will contact you shortly to discuss how to address this overrun.

Please do not hesitate to call if you have any questions or comments on OUf January work effort.

cc: Sue Uppendahl
Bob Norman

cmb:jd
G:\PROJECTS\155\TASK1\MEM033,RDT 02/07/922:04 PM

Hydrosphere 1002 Walnut Suite 200 Boulder, Colorado 80302

,i.:'.
