No. LK-14 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The Yak Tunnel is owned by the American Smelting and Refining <br />Company. The tunnel drains a large area with many old mlnes <br />and its opening is located approximately 5 miles above the <br />mouth of California Gulch. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The average flow from the tunnel is approximately 2 cfs and is <br />very acidic in addition to having a high concentration of heavy <br />metals. The color of the flow is orange as it flows down Cali- <br />fornia Gulch and changes slightly when it is diluted by the ef- <br />fluent from the Leadville STP.
