Leadville Corporation has <br />ceased operations in August of 1974, but will be reopened <br />shortly by Day Mines. <br /> <br />The process that Leadville Corporation used involved approxi- <br />mately 180 gpm of process water, The water was discharged to <br />a tailings pond where it is decanted and recycled, There are <br />two dams below the tailings pond and the probability of a dis- <br />charge is very remote. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Leadville Drainage Tunnel <br />NPDES #CO-002l7l7 <br />WQMP I.D. No. LK-13 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The Leadville Drainage Tunnel is owned by the United States <br />Bureau of Reclamation, It drains many old mines in the <br />Yankee Hill area and the portal is located approximately 1 <br />mile north-northeast of Leadville.
