Water so repurchased by the forum <br />will not be subject to the 1.0 maf annual purchase limit <br />established for the Water Bank. <br /> <br />A capsulized summary of the operation of the interstate Water <br />Bank is included in Appendix C and an exampled of how it might work <br />in conjunction with the escrow account in 2009 in included in <br />Appendix D. <br /> <br />D. Establishment of Interim Ooeratina Criteria <br /> <br />To assure Metropolitan that it can divert up to 1.3 maf of <br />water annually from the Colorado River through the year 2010, the <br />seven Basin states, in cooperation with the Secretary of the <br />Interior, will implement interim Operating criteria for the <br />Colorado River System reservoirs. These interim Operating criteria <br />will recognize MetropOlitan's right to receive up to 1.3 maf of <br />water per year in accordance with the provisions contained in <br />Section IV. A and B above. The interim operating Criteria will <br />terminate in 2011 with all rights and privileges contained in the <br />existing Operating Criteria and in the "Law of the River" remaining <br />unchanged unless all parties agree to extend the interim Operating <br />Criteria. <br /> <br />19 <br />
