OOlJl43

. 2. 11 warranty

Sierra/Misco is committed to performance. You have our word as a guarantee
and our satisfied customers as proof. We feel that our partnership with
you, the customer, is the best and most reliable way to achieve optimum
system performance.

In addition. Sierra/Misco warrants that its products are free from defects
in material and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of
one year. The warranty period will begin on the first day of business
following the two week system start..up period. Sierra/Misco' s obligations
under this warranty are limited to replacing or repairing, at its option
any of the products determined to be defective. This warranty shall not
apply to any equipment or software that has been repaired or altered.
except by Sierra/Misco or which has been subjected to misuse, negligence.
accident. or natural catastrophe. In no case shall Sierra/Misco's liability
exceed the original purchase price.

Since Sierra/Mis co did not design the network or perform a radio path
analysis we do not assume responsibility for the reliability of the
radio paths.

.

When designing a system Sierra/Misco uses USGS topographic maps to review
possible gauge and repeater sites. Whenever possible all sites are
located so that the radio paths are linencf.sight. In all situations
where a line. of...sight path cannot be established. a high gain
directional antenna is used to increase the gain of the transmitted
signal.

li'hen line--of'..sight paths cannot be established, Sierra/Misco frequently
performs an on..si te radio path test. Successful path tests using radios
do not always assure that under all circumstances the path will be
reliable. Sierra/Misco Engineers are available to answer questions
regarding system design and radio path analysis.

.
