Here. inconung data from remote sites are received,
validated, stored. and analyzed. Forecasts are prepared. Decisions are
made. Warnings are issued and the flood response begins.

Sierra/Misco's reliable easy to use base station equipment is designed to
make the job of the flood emergency ntanager as efficient as possible. Data
acquisition is automatic and continuous Emergency officials are free to
'manage' the event not the data.

The base station equipment includes.

DB224 Antenna and Cable
SOS1R/D Weather Data Receiver/Decoder
S071XT Data Display
S071P,'Df1 Printer
S071UPS40060 Uninterruptible Power Supply

2 S,1 Antenna and Cable

MODEL DB224 ANTENNA AND CABLE The DB224 ornni. directional antenna is a 6 db
gain antenna recommended for areas of high lightning exposure Fabricated
of light weight high strength aluminum alloys the dipoles and mast are
extremely rugged and durable. Standing 20 feet tall by 1 S feet wide the
DB224 is designed to withstand winds to 100 MPH.

A top mounting kit is standard for the DB224. A DB S001 side mount kit is
available for side mounting on to\o/ers.

Sixty feet of RG8 coaxial cable with connectors are supplied for connecting
the antenna to the SOS1R Receiver,

DB224 Specifications
Ormi directional
6 db
360 deg.
20 feet. approx,
1 . The receiver and decoder are
separated into two units allowing the radio receiver (S051R) to be located
near the antenna tower and the decoder (SOS1D) to be located near the
computer- By keeping the antenna cable short. radio signal losses are
reduced In addition costs are reduced by keeping the length of expensive
coaxial cable to a minimum.
