~~opJrational study was performed in which periods were identified when
Battlement Mesa would require replacement water from Ruedi Reservoir using
the Colorado River Simulation Model developed in 1977 by David E. Flemin9.
The amount of replacement water needed for those periods was determined from
the Battlement Mesa Augmentation Plan prepared by Wright Water Engineers. A
transportation loss rate was assumed for the river reach between Ruedi
Reservoir and the Dow Pumping Plant and Pipeline which supplies Battlement
Mesa.

Finally, the rep 1 acement water requi rements for Battlement Mes a were
superimposed on the operation of Ruedi Reservoir.
