Grand Valley pumping and depletions of a constant 177 cfs when per-
mitted by the Cameo surplus condition.

b. An additional depletion for 30,000 acres of irrigated land.

c. A transmountain diversion project equivalent to the Fryingpan-
Arkansas project.

Condition 4: To arrive at an additionally conservative estimate of Cameo
surplus as it would affect the pumping at Grand Valley by Colony Shale Oil
Project, the periods of Cameo surplus as used under Condition 2 and 3 were
further depleted. The additional depletions were:

a. Depletion of 75 cfs for senior pumping rights at Grand Valley in
addition to the 25 cfs used in Condition 2.

b. Municipal depletions for 50,000 additional people in the Rifle
area.

The 1965 Wright Water Engineers' study analyzed a period from 1945 through
1960. Use of Condition 4 indicated that a decreed 1956 pumping plant and
pipeline at Parachute would require replacement water as follows for the
sixteen-year study period:

Average year
Minimum year
Maximum year

1.3 months
o months

3.0 months.

The maximum replacement year for the sixteen-year period was 1954. The
months of October, August, and September were the months in which replace-
ment water was needed. The CORSIM II studies by Fleming show the months of
October, April, July, August, and September as being those months in 1954
when replacement water was required for the Oow Pumping Plant and Pipeline,
or a total of 5 months. The CORSIM II Model studies predict 2.8 months of

(10)
