David J. Miller has served under a contract with the Department <br />"of Natural Resources. Samuel Chutkow has served under a contract with <br />the Colorado "Vater Conservation Board. Your two consultants have had <br />the benefit of consultation with the two departments, and the help of an <br />advisory comm ittee com posed of technical personnel. and representatives <br />of state and federal departments. The assigned objectives of your con- <br />sultants were three fold: <br /> <br />1-" <br /> <br />A. A comprehensive written Report on the research programs <br />recommended to be executed, the character and qualifications of the <br />personne 1 to conduct the research, and the estimated annual costs of such <br />a continuing research program; and <br /> <br />B. A digest of the ground water laws of neighboring states which <br />will indicate the possible applicabilities of such laws or parts thereof to <br />the known Colorado ground water conditions; and <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />C. Recommendations for revision of the present Colorado Ground <br />Water Law to make the Law functional until it can be revised in the light of <br />the basic data to be developed in a continuing ground water research program. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />- 16 - <br />
