<br />..' .... r' '4 <br />.....;..;1 <br /> <br />3~ <br /> <br />METIlOPOLlTAN WATER DISTRICT <br /> <br />by the State Guard and the District, pending the moving of a <br />garage building from the abandoned Vidal patrol station and two <br />bunkhouse buildings from Eagle, all of which are to be reerected <br />at Gene and equipped as a kitchen and a messhall. A four-man <br />bunkhouse, a hot plate for preparing meals, and sanitary facilities <br />have been provided on Copper Basin Dam. One sedan, three sta- <br />tion wagons, and one pickup have been assigned to the guard for <br />the use of the commanding officer and for transportation of guard <br />personnel between Eagle Mountain and Hayfield and from Gene to <br />Intake and Copper Basin. A one and one-half ton truck has been <br />assigned to the guard for transportation of rations from Riverside <br />to the various camps, <br /> <br />P".rker power pZnnt <br />The United States Bureau of Reclamation continued work 011 <br />the power house at Parker Dam throughout the year. The power <br />house superstructure was completed, all concrete work in the fore- <br />baJ' was nnished, and the penstock gates and hoisting crane were <br />installed. All major equipment for three of the four generating <br />units \Vas delivered. Three turbine casings have been erected, <br />connected to the penstocks., and the surrounding concrete placed. <br />All three generator rotors have been assembled. At the end of <br />the fiscal year the erection of the first generating unit was nearing <br />completion.
