<br />year was to supply water to the U. S. Army camps located. near
<br />the aqueduct and for the purpose of cleaning and flushing the
<br />main aqueduct and sand traps.
<br />Portions of the District's unused Boulder energy were trans-
<br />mitted over the District's system for delivery to the Salt River
<br />Valley Water Users' Association, the Office of Indian Affairs, and
<br />to the Bureau of Reclamation for construction of Parker power
<br />plant at Parker Dam.
<br />The following tabulation shows, for the fiscal year July 1, 1941
<br />to June 30, 1942, the pump hours of operation, the acre feet of
<br />water pumped, and the energy transmitted f"om Boulder over
<br />District transmission lines and used for pumping and camp serv-
<br />ices, or delivered to others:

<br />In October 1941, all equipment at the pumping plants was thor-
<br />oughly inspected and necessary overhaul and maintenance work
<br />commenced. On the main pumps no important change in condition
<br />was found to have taken place since the previous inspection in
<br />December 1940. The pump runners at Intake and Gene were
<br />entirely free from cavitation. At Irun Mountain, slight cavitation
<br />was noted on the lower seal rings, necessitating repair by chip-
<br />ping out and welding with stainless steel. At Eagle Mountain
<br />and Hayfield, the slight runner cavitation evident the previous
