<br />~ <br />I-" <br />(0 <br />00 <br /> <br />TRANSMITTAL LETTERS <br /> <br />The Federal Water Pollution Control Act requires that at least once every three years the <br />states of the Colorado River Basin review water quality standards relating to the salimty of the <br />waters of the Colorado River, The states collectively mitiate this review under the auspices of <br />the Colorado River Basin Salinity Control Forum and prepare a proposed report and, after <br />holding public meetings, prepare a supplemental report, <br /> <br />Upon the Forum's adoption of these two reports, they are transmitted to the individual <br />states for their own independent action. The following is an example coPy of the transmittal <br />letter to the Governor of the State of Arizona. Following this letter is a listing of the Governors <br />in each of the other six Colorado River Basin states who will receive identical letters. <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />J.. "" <br />
