<br />Training Program <br /> <br />Engineering Consultants, Inc. has deve loped a program for training its client's <br />design engineers in its Denver home office. In connection with the designs of the <br />Bhumibol Dam and Pcwerhouse for the Yanhee Multipurpose Project in Thailand approxi- <br />mote Iy eighty engineers of the Roya I Irrigation Department spent a period of one year <br />each working with ECI's design stoff in Denver. Concurrent with this training program, <br />a similar program was being carried out in ECI's design office in Bangkok, Thailand. <br />Immeasurable technicol knowledge and confidence was gained by the Thai enginee~ for <br />performing similar as well as other engineering endeavors in their own country. ECI is <br />prepared to implement such a design troining program for any of its clients. <br /> <br />Research Foci lit ies <br /> <br />Whenever a project design requires laboratory research of any kind, model testing <br />or other special hydraulic or geologic investigotions ECI utilizes the facilities of the out- <br />standing Research Foundations of the Colorado State University ond the Colorado School <br />of Mines, Or other available well-known research facilities. The research facilities of <br />the above institutions were utilized for the Final hydrou/ic designs of the approach chan- <br />nels, spillways and outlet works for the Bhumibol, King Paul and Sirikit dams. In addi- <br />tion, special research was performed by the Colorado School of Mines on the geologic <br />characteristics of the foundation and abutments for the King Paul Dam. All such work is <br />carried out under ECI's specifications and the direct supervision of ECI. Also available <br />are analog computers, such as A .C. network analyzers, which ECI personnel have. <br />utilized when required. <br /> <br />Technical Stoff <br /> <br />The permanent staff of Engineering Consultants, Inc. includes personnel who have <br />extensive experience in all engineering phases of any project it undertakes. With its <br />personnel and their broad background of specialized experience, ECI is in a position to <br />expedite completion of required work in an efficient, economical, skillFul and successful <br />manner. The staff of ECI total. more than 100 employee. composed of planners, design <br />engineers, agriculturol engineers, hydrologists. soi's engineers, geologists, construction <br />engineers and other specialists. Throughout the duration of a project, work is under the <br />direct charge of a principal of ECI who is empowered to act on behalf of the organization. <br /> <br />Financial Position <br /> <br />During the past five years ECI has handled engineering work having an averoge <br />annual total value of $2,500,000 without the use of any borrowed or outside funds. <br />Engineering Consultants, Inc. is in a financial position to proceed promptly with any <br />engineering assignment, and also is in a position to consider interim financing of engi- <br />neering casts pending arrangements for permanent Financing by the client. <br /> <br />~d6 <br />
