Alternative functional
forms are shown in Table 16 and data are shown
graphically in Figure 1. As can he seen, the
exponential form provides a close approximation of
the data generated by the model runs.

Results - Otber Areas

Similar functions have been generated for all
major areas of agricultural water use in the Lower
Basin. Table 17 shows the results of the LP runs for
each area and salinity level. As can be seen, the total
annual damages over the 500 mg/I range result in an
average impact per mg/I of $28,167 for Imperial, $73
for Coachella, $139 for San Diego. $2,654 for Palo
Verde, $756 for Colorado River Indian Reservation,
$1,334 for the Yuma area, and $11 for the Central
Arizona Project area. The total for all agricultural
areas considered in the Lower Basin is $33,133 per
mg/I annually. These numbers are only averages over

10,000
a:
<[
lLJ
>-
a::
lLJ
Cl..
en
a::
<[
...J
...J
0
Cl 5,000
...
0
en
Z
0
::i
='
::;:

19060- - -
1_~'~>8

-~

--

_-e --
1,046

'333

o
8eO

I
900

I
1000

the range and should be used cautiously.
