Authority <br /> <br />": <br /> <br />'. <br />The investigation was made and the following report was prepared <br /> <br />in accordance with ,the provisions of Section 4 of the Flood Control Act <br /> <br />of 1944, subsequent inter-bureau agreements, and as requested by the <br /> <br /><>"., <br /> <br />Bureau of Reclamation. <br /> <br />The purpose of this report is to appraise the recreational, <br />historical, and scientific values of the Rattlesnake Reservoir site and <br /> <br />the effects of project construction on these values and to make appro- <br /> <br />priate recommendations. <br /> <br />Afield survey of the area was made on the 19th and 20th of <br /> <br />June 1950, by Landscape Architect Wahl and Engineering Draftsman Holmes. <br /> <br /> <br />The Loveland and Denver offices -of the Bureau of Reclamation were con- <br /> <br />tacted prior to and during the investigation. <br /> <br />A reconnaissance survey was made of the reservoir site by Historian <br /> <br />Harry B. Robinson, October 2, 1950, but no research on the history of the <br /> <br />area has been made. <br /> <br /> <br />Mr.. Gilbert Moon, Agriculturist, South Platte River District, <br /> <br />Bureau of Reclamation, was contacted for the purpose of providing general <br /> <br />maps of the 'project area and available operational data. <br /> <br />" <br />d <br /> <br />-.,."
