The study concluded that <br /> <br />'<j'4 <br />..-I <br /> <br />.:-:-.l <br /> <br />more follow-up assistance is needed to help farmers properly manage their new <br /> <br />,- ~, <br />.-, <br /> <br />systems. <br /> <br />Title II - Uinta, Basin, Utah <br /> <br />The Uinta Basin salinity control project, initiated in 1980, is the second <br /> <br />Title II program implemented. Funding for the Uinta Basin project is through <br /> <br />the ASCS-ACP and the SCS Conservation Operations technieal assistance <br /> <br />program. The ASCS offices in the tw6 involved counties initiated cost <br /> <br />sharing after the Congress recommended that $2 million be made available for <br /> <br />such work. The increased SCS staffing levels for implementing technical <br /> <br />assistance has been maintained at 15 for the Vernal and Roosevelt field <br /> <br />office staffs for the past two years. <br /> <br />Accomplishments for FY 1981 and totals to date are shown in Table 3. <br /> <br />Table 3.
