<br />. <br /> <br />spa'Mling season following this determination If larvae carmot be captured from <br />Lake Mead, wild larvae will re collected from Lake Mohave. <br /> <br />The impementation of these Guidelines is nOllikely to produce a condition <br />resulting in a minimum February through April Lake Mead elevation at or relow <br />1130 feet for more than 2 consecutive years during which surplus is being <br />declared. Therefore, this condition has not been evaluated as an effect of the <br />proposed action. <br /> <br />5. Recreation <br /> <br />Reclamation is initiating a bathymetric swvey of Lake Mead in fiscal year 2001 and will <br />coordinate with the Lake Mead National Recreation Area to identify critical recreation <br />facility elevations and navigational hazards that would be present under VariOlL' reservoir <br />surface elevations. <br /> <br />Reclamation will continue to monitor river operations, reseIVoir levels and water supply <br />and make this information available to the CRMWG, agencies and the public. This <br />operational information will provide the Lake Mead National Recreation Area and the <br />Glen Canyon National Rea-eatvn Area with probabilities for future reservoir elevations to <br />aid in managerrent of navigational aids, recreation facilities, other resources and fiscal <br />planning. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Recnmation will cOIninue its consultation and coordination with the Glen Canyon <br />National Recreation Area and the Navaj:> Nation on the development of Antelope Point as <br />a resort destination. <br /> <br />6. Cultural Resources <br /> <br />Reclamation shall continue to consult and coordinate with the State Historic Preservation <br />Offrer, the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation (Council), Glen Canyon National <br />Rea-eatvn Area, Lake Mead National Rea-eatvn Area, Tribes and interested parties with <br />regard to the potential effects ofinlplem:ntation of the Preferred Akernative as required <br />by Sections 106 and 110 of the National Historic Preservation Act following the Council's <br />recommended approach for consultation for the Protection of Historic Properties found at <br />36 CFR 800. <br /> <br />7. Transboundarv Imoacts <br /> <br />A November 14,2000, meeting of the International Boundary and Water Conunission and <br />Technical Advi>ors from the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation and Mexico's National Water <br />Commission was held. At thi> meeting, Mexi:o expressed concern Ihat a reduction of <br />historic flows arriving in Mexico could impact: Mexico's use of those waters for recharge <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />]5 <br />
