That's definitely right down here, right opposite

town here, one (1) mile out of town.

MR. GARNER: liell, I don't have the seventy

three thousand (73,000) cfs, but the highest we're forecasting

up there is fifty thousand (50,000) cfs, which we figure

.

"
"! \~ould be about six and a half (6 1/2) to seven (7) feet.

,
'I
,',
"
:
I ,
,
'i
I,
l~
, "
I
- !:
1.1 ,
!
h
i
:,
, ,
It:
"
'i
,
! .. .,
,
i
,
il
!I
! ~'I ,
I'
.1
>I
" j'

--

I

MR. BEELER: Six and a half (6 1/2) to seven

(7) feet? Okay, thank you, that answers my question.

PRESIDING OFFICER: Thank you, Mr. Beeler.

MR. GAmJER: I hear a lot of you oohing and

aahing and sighing up here about that release. That seventy-

three thousand (73,000) cfs release is an extremely, extremely

rare event. The other numbers we're talking about,

twenty-eight thousand (28,000) released from Hoover Dam, for

example, would only raise the water down there about three (3)

three and a half (3 1/2) feet, if you got the full impact of

the whole twenty-eight thousand (28,000) going right by your

property. Forty thousand (40,000) would be about five (5),

five and a half (5 1/2) feet. Now once we start talking

seventy-three thousand (73,000) controlled release from

iioover Dam you'll hear a lot of ool1s and aahs from probably

the whole western united States. It would be an extremely

rare occasion.

PRESIDIHG OFFICER: The people that do the

estimates on the projections of frequencies are saying that
