If unable to measure your own water supply, request <br />infonnation on the above supply factors from the appropriate agency listed <br />below. <br /> <br />b Measurinq Water SUpplies <br /> <br />Because of its highly technical nature, measur:in;J the volume of available <br />surface or ground water sources is usually best left to natural resource <br />agencies and other experts. In order to collect water supply infonnation <br />for your area, you are encouraged to contact the follow:in;J sources: <br /> <br />u.s. Geoloqical SUl:vev (USGS) <br /> <br />A variety of hydrologic naps and reports have been produced by the USGS <br />Water Resources Division, includ:in;J a general aquifer nap cover:in;J the <br />entire state of Washington. Aquifer naps for special study areas such as <br />Island County, Bainbridge Island, the San Juan Islands and the Columbia <br />Basin Plateau are also available.
