· 0 l~:l tlLi
..

.

.

Colorado State Office
Soil Conservation Service
June 28, 1965

REPORT COVERIlIG STORM DAMAGES THAT OCCURRED IN COLORADO

DURING WEEK OF June 14, 1965

Soil Conservation Service personnel conducted storm damage surveys
in eastern Colorado durinB the week of June 21 following the
damaging storms that occurred during the previous week.

This report includes the following:

1. Map of Colorado showing counties where significant damages occurred.

2. Background information regarding storms that occurred during the
week.

3. Summary by counties of key items of damage that were recorded.

4. Similar summary for all counties involved.

In conducting the survey which was necessarily reconnaissance in nature
the main emphasis was placed on recording agricultural damages. It
is recognized that information obtained is not complete but it reflects
major items of damage that could be recorded immediately.

During the survey information on non-agricultural damages was also
recorded to the extent it was readily available. This part of the
county reports, especially with regard to damages to roads and bridges,
does not any where near reflect total damages sustained.
