BUREAU OFRECLAHATION REPORT

would increase the amount they could pay on the extension and thus
reduce the amount to be paid from the Upper Colorado River Account.

Conclusions

The Pine River project extension has engineering feasibility.
Adequate storage rights are available and the additional direct flow
rights required could be obtained. The extension is economically
justified since the annual benefits would compare with the annual
equivalent costs in a ratio of 1.$5 to 1. In a period of 50 years the
Federal Government could be reimbursed for the construction costs of the
extension works by payments from the water users and revenues from the
Upper Colorado River Account except to the extent that costs assigned
for payment by Indians are adjusted or eliminated under an extension of
the Leavitt Act.

,.

~
..
l'
"

,
;.J1
~

~

:.~
,
",

'.
~1'
~;

13
