lands have amounted to about ~.78 an acre, including $.52 for con-
struction costs and $.26 for operation, maintenance, replacement,
and administrative costs. No contributions are being made toward
project costs by irrigated lands in Colorado outside of the district.
Also the nonirrigated lands and some irrigated lands in New Mexico
are not contributing to project costs.

The following table shows the status of non-Indian project
lands with respect to payment.

Payments toward reservoir costs Obviously cannot be expected to
continue indefinitely from lands that do not receive water. Without
further project extension it may be anticipated that future payments on
non-Indian obligations will be made only by the 26,320 acreS now irri-
gated. The extension would expand the non-Indian irrigated area to
