<br />in the reservoirs could be released with approval of the Wyoming State <br />Engineer on a schedule that would enhance fish habitat and reduce <br />downstream flood damages. The following schedule is an example of how <br />excess water may be released for this purpose during an average water <br />year: <br /> <br />- May through November (24-25 cfs) <br />- November 25 through April 20 (15 cfs) <br />- April 21 through April 30 (186 cfs) <br /> <br />The salinity control project will have an effect on Bone Draw. <br />As the irrigation water management practices are installed and less <br />water reaches the underground aquifer, the water levels in Bone Draw <br />will diminish. This, in turn, will reduce the saline seep flows <br />initially. Eventually, all water flows from the Bone Draw drainage will <br />cease. <br /> <br />Installation of the Selected Plan is not expected to have any <br />adverse effects on endangered species that may occur in the project <br />area. <br /> <br />The selected plan of low pressure sprinkler irrigation systems and <br />other irrigation water management practices will increase on-farm <br />irrigation efficiency by approximately 29 percent. This change will <br />reduce deep percolation to the ground water aquifer by about 18,200 <br />acre-feet per year. But, due to limited water supply and with present <br />irrigation efficiencies, only 15,700 acres receive water anyone year. It is assumed <br />that approximately 85 percent of the water-righted acres will have salinity plans at <br />the end of the installation period. <br /> <br />l/ Assuming canals and laterals to continued seepage loss at an average of 10,200 <br />ae ft/yr.
