Subject: Fryingpan-Arkansas Project, Colorado~-Project implementa-
tion of, Colorado Division of Game, Fish and Parks Fishery
Studies

Our Bureau's report dated August 28, 1969, to the Regional Director,
Bureau of Reclamation, Region 7, included Recommendation No.2 con-
cerning project funding of a project-related fishery study to be
conducted by the Colorado Division of Game, Fish and Parks, and to
commence at the time construction begins on the Twin lakes Dam.

At a meeting in your Denver Engineering and Research Center on
March 30, 1971, it was recognized that construction of the Elbert
Power Plant ,wi 11 be initiated this fiscal year. This, in effect,
commences construction in the Twin Lakes area and Recommendation
No.2 should be implemented as soon as possible.
