.

In response to your memorar.d\ml at' !-lay 19, 1965, we have reviewcd
your proposed tal, eline at 'l'win J..:l.kes Heservoir, as shown on
drawing No. 382-706-1801, with ~he Forest Service and the r.olor~do
Department of Game, Fish and Parks.

We approve of your proposed land acquisitions as sho~n on the
drawing and feel that additional lands for fish and ~ldlife pur-
poses ~ould not be ~rranted at Twin lakes.

We are especially pleased to see that your take line includes a
buffer strip above the high ~aterline around the entire perimeter
of the reservoir. This buffer strip, ~e believe, is the minimum
necessa~J to insure public access. Consequently, the $29,000
fishery benefit ascrioed to Twin Lakes in our February 1962 report
is no~ firmly justified.

Since any reductions of your take line would involve lesser fishery
benefits by dint of restricted access, we trust that you ~ill keep
uS advised of any problems of such nature.

Thank you for the opportunity to comment on your right-of-~ay
plans at Twin Lait;.es aescrvoir, and \....8 -....ould. bc' '-l8.ppy to 8:..r';I()ri~
