<br />.. <br /> <br />4167 <br /> <br />Gold is undoubtedly present in the gravels of the valley floor, <br />but because of the lack of natural sorting and concentration in glacial <br />deposits, placers of commercial quality are highly unlikely. <br /> <br />Known vein deposits are restricted to areas high on the mountain <br />slopes west of the reservoir. Attempts to find mineralization or down- <br />ward continuations of known veins at the level of the valley floor have <br />failed. <br /> <br />In summary, it is concluded that no mineral resources of consequence <br />will be lost in, establishing Twin lakes Reservoir. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />XI-31 <br />
