Sturdy plastic or fiberglass kayaks, whitewater canoes, dories <br />and sport yaks, if properly rigged, are approved craft provided <br />that the paddler has adequate prior experience in whitewater. <br />Conventional rowboats, open canoes, inflatable canoes and fold- <br />boats are not apl'roved for use on these waters. lnner tubes, <br />air mattresses or similar devices may not be used for river <br />running. <br /> <br />D. Th,e mini,mum party size .fox canoe and. kayak_groups ,to_travel <br />without raft support is three boats. Unsupported groups of this <br />size must consist of paddlers having had experience on major <br />whitewater rivers or other comparable rivers (Class III or <br />greater). <br /> <br />II. Boat Loading Requirements <br /> <br />The following shall be considered safe maximum loads under normal <br />conditions. These limits may be reduced by the River Ranger where <br />other factors dictate a lighter load (such as the amount of gear <br />carried).
