OFFICIAL MEETINGS Qe to Water Resource Programs are of such a universal ~ nature that the members of the Board have deter- mined it absolutely essential that the District partici- pate with Regional, State, National and International groups. Members of the Board and Staff serve actively on many different Committees and in Offices in such Water Associations, and the District is well represented at the majoritr of the meetings. Those persons repre- senting the District at the meetings always give a detailed report at the next regular meeting of the Board of Directors, and make copies of reports, speech- es and special documents available to the District. Or- ganizations with which the District is closely associated include: Water Resources Congress, National Water Resources Association, Colorado River Water Users Association, Four Stales Irrigation Council, Arkansas River Basin Interstate Committee, Arkansas Basin De- velopment Association, Colorado Waler Congress, Col- orado Water Conservation Board, Fry-Ark Operating Principles ComJl]ittee~ Colorado River Advisory Com- mittee, Arkansas River Compact Administration and Special Commissions appointed by the President of the United States, the Congress of the United States, the Governor of the State of Colorado and the Colorado General Assembly. DISTRICT LIBRARY During the last ten years, the District has been accumulating a wide variety of publications on Water Management and related subjects, and has established one of the most complete Libraries in the Southeastern part of Colorado. Students from area High Schools, Colleges and Universities are taking advantage of the publications as are others associated with Water Re. sources Projects. Many of the publications were pre- pared by District personnel, and a great number were obtained from the Government Printing Office, Na- tional Technical Information Service.
