High School and other institutions of higher <br />learning, and to individuals who have indicated an <br />interest in the history of the District and the Project. <br />Copies of the transcripts are also being prepared and <br />will be made available to the same agencies for educa- <br />tional reference. 0 <br /> <br />.... <br /> <br />OFFICIAL MEETINGS Qe <br />to <br /> <br />Water Resource Programs are of such a universal ~ <br />nature that the members of the Board have deter- <br />mined it absolutely essential that the District partici- <br />pate with Regional, State, National and International <br />groups. Members of the Board and Staff serve actively <br />on many different Committees and in Offices in such <br />Water Associations, and the District is well represented <br />at the majoritr of the meetings. Those persons repre- <br />senting the District at the meetings always give a <br />detailed report at the next regular meeting of the <br />Board of Directors, and make copies of reports, speech- <br />es and special documents available to the District. Or- <br />ganizations with which the District is closely associated <br />include: Water Resources Congress, National Water <br />Resources Association, Colorado River Water Users <br />Association, Four Stales Irrigation Council, Arkansas <br />River Basin Interstate Committee, Arkansas Basin De- <br />velopment Association, Colorado Waler Congress, Col- <br />orado Water Conservation Board, Fry-Ark Operating <br />Principles ComJl]ittee~ Colorado River Advisory Com- <br />mittee, Arkansas River Compact Administration and <br />Special Commissions appointed by the President of <br />the United States, the Congress of the United States, <br />the Governor of the State of Colorado and the Colorado <br />General Assembly. <br /> <br />DISTRICT LIBRARY <br /> <br />During the last ten years, the District has been <br />accumulating a wide variety of publications on Water <br />Management and related subjects, and has established <br />one of the most complete Libraries in the Southeastern <br />part of Colorado. Students from area High Schools, <br />Colleges and Universities are taking advantage of the <br />publications as are others associated with Water Re. <br />sources Projects. Many of the publications were pre- <br />pared by District personnel, and a great number were <br />obtained from the Government Printing Office, Na- <br />tional Technical Information Service.
