Colorado and Louisiana have completed numerous industrial water <br />use questionnaires listing, data pertaining to present use of industrial <br />water. The New ~Jexico Water S.upply .~iork Group met in Santar'e on <br />July 21,1952, It was , agreed that immediate steps 'betsken on the survey <br />of industri&l opportunity and on the matter of checking the population <br />forecast i' <br /> <br />4, The Oklahoma \~ater Supply hork GroUp met in Oklahoma' City .on <br />September 21 and 22, The group oompiled data on municipal water supply <br />needs for all of the priority areas within the State of Oklahoma. This <br />information, v:hich also included possible solutions, is to be submitted <br />to the vnrious dater Use and Control Work Group meetings. <br /> <br />5, Hepresentati ves of the State of Louisiana met in Tulsa on <br />September 22 wi th representatives of the Public Beal th Service, Department <br />of Commerce, and the Cor?s of Engineers to discuss procedures for continuin~ <br />the activities of the Louisiana \.ater Supply l'lork Group. <br /> <br />6. Within the State of Kansas, the Public Health Service completed <br />arrangements to secure information on municipal water supply needs during <br />the first part of October. <br /> <br />7. Federal agencies and basin-wide activity. Contract work of the <br />Bureau of Reclamation with the Universities of Texas, Oklahorra and Kansas <br />has continued durino the reportinb pBriod with completion anticipated in <br />January. Some work has been reported in connection with water supply of <br />Norman. Wichita, Pm Is Valley and Winnewood, Some additional field work <br />has been done in the Upper Red River Basin, at Vernon, Childress, and <br />Quanah, Texas, Frederick and Snyder, iJklahoma, in nature of searching for <br />possible new sources of water supply. <br /> <br />8. The Public he&lth Service completed the rinal draft of a report <br />entitled ''l'resent .lunicipal i\ater Use in the Arkansas-White-Red jjasins, <br />includinb Information on Deficiencies in Supply" and a limited number of <br />
