<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />15t.iJ <br /> <br />Article III - FLOOD CONTROL <br />Trinidad Reservoir shall be operated for flood control benefits in accordance with <br />regulations prescribed by the Secretary of the Army and the following operating principles: <br /> <br />1. All potentially damaging flood inflows shall be temporarily detained as necessary to <br />limit the flow insofar as possible to a non-damaging flow, currently estimated to be 5,000 <br />c,f,s., downstream from the Trinidad Reservoir, <br /> <br />2. All flood waters stored in the flood control capacity shall be released at the maximum <br />non-damaging rate insofar as practicable, <br /> <br />3. Any inflow, other than that stored for irrigation [and M&I and Permanent Fishery Pool <br />(added 12/97)] use, temporarily retained below the bottom of the flood control capacity for <br />flood control purposes, shall be released by the operating agency at such a rate, time, and <br />quantity as may be ordered by the Colorado State Engineer, but within non-damaging flow <br />in the channels below the reservoir. <br /> <br />C,\SRMILLER\ARKANSAS\TRINIDAO\970PPRN3.WPD <br /> <br />February 12, 1998 <br /> <br />7 <br />
