Several
alternative plans for development of the 'Water have been considered, but
the plan selected is the most economically desirable.

One alternative 'Would entail the construction of a reservoir on the
East Fork of the Williams Fork River, a tunnel from the reservoir through
the Williams Fork J.'DWltains to Hayden Bench, and canals extending east and
, 'West along the upper limits of the unit lands. The area served would be
about ,,000 acres smaller than in the selected plan.

Another major alternative plan involves offstream storage in the
East Fork drainage and an East Fork Feeder Canal with a smaller capacity
than in the selected plan. The remninder of the plan is similar to the
selected plan.

,4
