Five 01' the =its--the lvessels, <br />;Iayden hesa, Gr<"at Northern, Juniper, and T>ro Bar--are in the Craie divi- <br />sion 01' t;:'e project while the Yellow Jacl,et and Flattops units are in the <br />deei<er division. To provide a complete picture of potentialities for use <br />01' the local water supply, the report also outlines possible developments <br />in the Yar.Ipa-llbi te project are~ not considered cg uni_ts of the project and <br />in addition outlines possible diversions from the area that would compete <br />~or sone of the project water supply. <br /> <br />One unit of the Yarnpa-White project, the Flattops, would be a munic- <br />iIlal \later and hydroelectric Ilower development. iJ.l the ot':>,er units would <br />be prinarily ir~i~tion developments, but some could be adapted to power <br />production and nearly all would incidentally bp.r.efit fish and \iildlife con- <br />servation, recreation, and sediment control. The various units are essen- <br />tially independent of each other and anyone unit could be undertaken <br />independently 01' the others. <br /> <br />The units of the Yampa-White project would all be related to the Colo- <br />rado River Storage project authorized for construction April 11, 1956 <br />(P.L. 485, 84th Congress, 2d Session). All of the units would be dependent <br />on the storage project for river regulation and some would be eliGi"ule for <br />repay,llent assist~nce from the project through the Upper Colorado Pi,er <br />Basin Fund provided by the authorizing act. <br />
