These entities worked with District staff over the last five months to add the
necessary details to the PSOP. Many of these water user groups have been active participants
in the District's three-year study process. Their efforts, along with the other participants in
the Storage Study Committee, helped to produce the Water and Storage Needs Assessment
Report (December 1998), the Preferred Storage Options Plan Report (September 2000), and
now the PSOP Implementation Committee Report (April 200 I).

We acknowledge and thank the many participants in the District's study process for their
contribution toward the development of a plan of action to meet future, District-wide water
storage needs. The successful implementation of the Preferred Storage Options Plan, as
supplemented by the PSOP Implementation Committee Report, will depend upon the
continued hard work and cooperation of all the District's constituents.

Storage Study Committee Participants

SECWCD Board/Staff
City of Lamar
Upper Arkansas Water Conservancy District
Colorado Water Protective and Development Association
Holbrook Mutual Irrigating Company
Catlin Canal Co.
Widefield Water and Sanitation District
Arkansas Groundwater Users Associations
Security Water and Sanitation District
Pueblo Department of Emergency Management
City of Canon City
Colorado State Division of Parks and Recreation
Penrose Water District
Town of Buena Vista
City of Salida
XCEL Energy
Arkansas River OutfItters Association
Pueblo Board of Water Works
Pueblo West Metro District
Stratmoor Hills Water District

27

99061 Fil\,1lPSOPRc-pon
