Section 12 - Next Steps

The next step in the implementation of the PSOP is to secure commitments from water users
through the execution of a memorandum of agreement. The process of securing these MOAs
will take the next two to six months.

While we are working on the MOAs, we will continue to pursue the enactment of federal
legislation. It is hoped that our legislation will be adopted this year.

We are pursuing an administrative decision from Reclamation regarding authority for re-

operations contracts.

Water users in the Arkansas Valley will begin a feasibility study of the Arkansas Valley
Conduit. Enterprise staff will work with Valley entities on this study project.

The "Preliminary PSOP Implementation Schedule" on pages 25 and 26 of this Report is
subject to change, but it provides a generaltimeline for the implementation of the elements of
the PSOP.
