Of the 23,220 <br /> <br />acres rem~ining, 3,750 acres are ~wn the inmlediate riVer valley lU1d 19,470 <br /> <br />acres are on Flo~ida Mesa, which begins five miles southeast of Durango <br /> <br />and extends southeast. It is one of the lurgest, most cmnpact bodies <br /> <br />of lemd in San Ju,..n Basin and thO! most fertile.
