The 160-acre (64.8-ha) area is designated by the <br /> <br />first letter following the section: A indicates the northeast quarter, <br /> <br />B the northwest, C the southwest, and D the southeast. The quarter <br /> <br />section is subdivided into quarter-quarter sections. The 40-acre <br /> <br />(16.2-ha) area is designated in the same manner by the second letter <br /> <br />following the section. The quarter-quarte'r section is subdivided into <br /> <br />quarter-quarter-quarter sections. The 10-acre (4.0-ha) area is desig- <br /> <br />nated in the same manner by the third letter follm(Ting the section. <br /> <br />If more than one well is located within the IO-acre (4.0-ha) tract, <br /> <br />the wells are numbered sequentially in the order in which they were <br /> <br />originally inventoried. If this number is necessary, it will follow the <br /> <br />three-letter designation. <br /> <br />6 <br /> <br />
