Dear Rolly:

This is further to the exercise in which you are currently involved with others in a
search for possible alternatives for the use of Colorado's CRC compact waters if currently
authorized projects are not pursued.

The attached Federal Register Notice of January 14, 1992 reflects cancellation by the
USBR of certain draft EIS's, including one for the Savery-Pot Hook project, for the reason
that the projects involved "have become inactive" (57 FR 1488).

P.S. Note also the enclosed Federal Register Notice of the current discount rate for
federal water resources plannins published by the Bureau (57 FR 3063, January 27, 1992) of
eight and one-half percent. ThIS is the rate you will probably have to look at in appraising
any alternatives to currently authorized CRSP projects.
