Power supply would be the same as described for Alternative <br />SI-1B. <br /> <br />Alternative SI.5: <br /> <br />Saddle Island Intake to River Mountains WTF Site <br />via New River Mountains Tunnel <br /> <br />Alternative SI-5 would consist of a new intake in Lake Mead at Saddle Island, an intake <br />pumping station on Saddle Island, a WTF located at the River Mountains site, water <br />transmission pipelines, a new River Mountains tunnel, a booster pumping station, two power <br />substations, and power transmission lines, The intake structure would be the same as for <br />Alternative SI-1 B. A booster pumping station in the eastern River Mountains would lift water <br />through a new River Mountains tunnel to the River Mountains WTF. This booster pumping <br />station would be near the same location as the booster pumping station for Alternative SI-1 C. <br />The new River Mountains tunnel would include a pressure section and a gravity section. A <br />vertical shaft and surface vent would be constructed at the junction of the two sections. <br />Power supply would be the same as described for Alternative SI-1 B. <br /> <br />S-8 <br /> <br />SUMMARY <br />
