f'I f:,~ ~ ')~
L "~, ___.,:.;,,: I

Revisions to Muddv Creek Inflows: ENFL08.09A.09B.lO and 11:

Mean lllonthly flows, monthly flow percentage distributions, and
hydrographs of mean monthly flow values for initial and
revised Muddy Ck. inflows are attached. Inflow descriptions
and proposed revision methodologies follow:

ENFL8: natural flows to Overland Reservoir

Initial natural flow estimates for ENFL08 were based
on adjusting gaged flows at the Cow Creek nr. Paonia CO
(09131100) site for Overland Reservoir storage effects
and Overland Ditch diversions for the available period of
record (WY1969-1982). Extension of records was done by
correlation with North Fork Gunnison River nr.
Somerset,Co data.

Revised flows were derived by retaining the long term
yield developed from initial estimates and proportioning
natural flows developed for the West Muddy Ck. nr.
Somerset gage site (09131200) by the ratio of long term
yields estimated for these two sites.

ENFL9: Original ENFL9 values were derived by taking the
difference between natural flows at the West Muddy Ck.
nr. Somerset gage (09131200) and flows at the Overland
Reservoir site (ENFL8). ENFL9 was assumed to represent
Electric Mountain inflows.

.,-Becausethe. Electric Mountain site is located on West
:MuddyCk. abv. the confluence with Cow Ck., ENFL9 was
'split'into two components in order to more accurately
. ., . represent Electric Mountain inflows:

ENFL9A -- estimated virgin inflows to potential Electric
Mountain reservoir site:

-- Flow values for this inflow were estimated as 50% of
flows at the West Muddy Ck. nr Somerset gage site
(09131200)~ this percentage estimate was obtained from
the Water Supply Appendix of the Grand Mesa Project,
Colorado Feasibility Report, January 1973, Bureau of
Reclamation.

ENFL9B -- virgin flow gains between OVerland Reservoir
site, Electric Mountain reservoir site, and the West
Muddy Ck. nr. Somerset gage site:

derived by difference: natural flows for West Muddy
Ck. nr. Somerset gage minus sum(ENFL08, ENFL09A)
