The <br /> <br />upstream face of the dam would be protected by a 3-foot layer of <br /> <br />rock riprap placed on an 18-inch gravel blankEt, The downstream <br /> <br />face would be covered with 12 inches of soil and seeded to grass. <br /> <br />An lmcontrolled concrete spillway di.scharging into a chute and <br /> <br />stilling basin, and an outlet works for releasing stored water <br /> <br />to the river would be located on the left (north) side of the dam. <br /> <br />An outlet to the Fort Morgan Canal would be located on the right <br /> <br />(south) side of the dam.
