<br />ATTACHMENTD <br /> <br />OPERATIONS COMMITTEE REPORT <br />DEC. 13, 1983 <br /> <br />The transfer of water to the accounts of the various entities in District <br />67 in Colorado and the Kansas account began on April 7th. <br />Delivery 01 the Iirst irrigation water tor the year slarled on April 281h <br />when a ditch in Colorado put in a call far water. Kansas' first call came on <br />May 61h. <br />The contents of John Martin Reservoir re,ached its highest elevation <br />for 1983 when 218,311 acre feet of water were stored on July 12. <br />John Martin Reservoir conservation pool was declared empty on <br />August 27th. No more waler was stored in the conservation pool after that <br />date for the season. <br />There were 104,785.43 acre feet of water released [or Kansas ditches <br />during Ihe 1983 irrigation season. This included 5,800.52 acre feet 01 <br />transit water loss account water added to their release to deJil.rer their <br />water across the state line. On October 31st, there remained 15,112.19 <br />acre feet 01 water in Iheir account. All measured flows passing the state <br />line, [rom April 1,1 thru Oclober 31st, were 129,160 acre feet. The Frontier <br />ditch diverted 8,164 acre feet 01 water during this time making a total of <br />137.324 acre feet. <br />During the irrigation season of April through October there were <br />151,643.21 acre leet 01 water released [or District 67 ditches. On October <br />31st, then. remained 17,642.25 acre feet of water in the accounts of the <br />ditches in District 67 for 1983. <br />The figures for the above all came from Roberl Jessee's report to the <br />Operations Committee [or 1983.
