<br />APPENDIX "C-1" <br /> <br />r <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE <br />ARKANSAS RIVER COMPACT <br />ADMINISTRATION <br /> <br />REGULAR ANNUAL MEETING <br /> <br />December 13.1983 <br />Cow Palace Inn, Lamar, Colorado <br /> <br />- <br />-- <br /> <br />The regular annual meeting of the Arkansas River Compact <br />Administration was held at the Cow Palace Inn in Lamar, Colorado, on <br />December 13,1983. The meeling was called to order at 12:35 p.m. (MSTJ <br />by Mr. Frank G. Cooley. Chairman and United States representalive. <br />Other members in attendance were: <br />For Kansas: <br />Carl E. Bentrup - Deerfield, Kansas <br />Ronald Olomon - Garden City, Kansas <br />David Pope - Topeka, Kansas <br />For Colorado: <br />Carl Genova - Pueblo, Colorado <br />Leo Idler - Lamar, Colorado <br />J. William McDonald - Denver, Colorado <br />Mr. Cooley introduced the members of the Administration. Mr. <br />McDonald introduced the members of his staff and Mr. Pope introduced <br />his staff members and others from Kansas. <br />The agenda for the meeting was introduced by Mr. Cooley and <br />approved without change. The agenda is included as Attachment A. <br />The third item on the agenda was the approval of the minutes of the <br />August 26, 1983. Special Meeling. Mr. McDonald stated that the minutes <br />would be mailed to the members "the next few weeks for review. <br />Under agenda item #4, Report of Officers, Mr. CooJey, as chairman. <br />noted there were differences between Kansas and CoJorado which had not <br />yet been resolved. He indicaled that he would do everything possible to <br />achieve a settlement by negotiation and arbitration to prevent a third <br />lawsuit before the Supreme Court. <br />Following these comments, the Recording Secretary's report, <br />Attachment B, was placed into the record without discussion. <br />Mr. Cooley then entered the Treasurer's Report, Attachment C, into <br />the record. Mr. Cooley asked about the investment of Compact <br />Administration funds. Mr. Bentrup stated that they were invested in <br /> <br />37 <br /> <br />..... - <br />
