<br />Diversions <br /> <br />There are 80 ditches and pipelines in former Water District No.9 <br /> <br />that divert water from Bear Creek and its tributaries resulting in a total <br /> <br />decreed appropriation of 1652 cfs. In addition, there are a number of <br /> <br />diversions from non-tributary springs. To obtain the current status of <br /> <br />water rights in former W.ater District No.9, refer to the most recent District, <br /> <br />Priority List located in the Computer Services Branch of the Colorado Divi- . <br /> <br />sion of Water Resources, Denver, Colorado. Table 12 presents the historic C <br />".,,- /'1)?~/N <br />reported diversions from Bear Creek and Turkey Creek. Plate 1 is a line Ff.OM <br />~TA,F r<, <br />diagram showing the principal diversions from Bear Creek and Turkey Creek. f-iJ 6 o~ <br />({(fcOI{ <br />Former Water District No.9 is administered as a part of Water <br /> <br />DIvision No. I andas such is subject to calls made on the South Platte <br /> <br />River; however, the major diversions in the district are relatively senior <br /> <br />and as such the calls on the South Platte River have minimal impact on Bear <br /> <br />Creek diversions. <br /> <br />Water Budqet <br /> <br />Figure 4 is a sketch of the water budget for the Bear Creek drain- <br /> <br />age basin.
