After accounting for all apparent salt contributors <br />to the Colorado River, it was believed that the increased salt <br />content of the Colorado River nr. Cisco, Utah, was due primarily <br />to irrigation return flow. <br /> <br />~.RY <br /> <br />It was calculated that from 1951-1957 an average of 5.2 <br />tons of salt/acre/year were added to the Colorado River. Adjust- <br />ing this to the 1914-1957 period as used by the U. S. Geological <br />Survey it was found that ~~ tons of salt/acre/year were added <br />vs. 5.6 tons/acre/year as estimated by the U.
