Ball: <br /> <br />Reference your letter dated 30 November 1977 regarding the proposed <br />construction of the Fountain Valley Conduit. <br /> <br />Regulations published on 19 July 1977 describe a nation~ide permit for <br />discharges of dredged or fill material that are placed as backfill or <br />bedding for utility line crossings, provided there is no change in pre- <br />construction bottom contours. A smomary of the provisions of this <br />permi-c; is inclosed for you:r infcrmation. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Ii <br />I <br />, <br /> <br />The Fountain Valley Conduit can be constructed under authority of the <br />'nationwide permit provided all conditions are complied with. <br /> <br />No reports or statements of intent are required to use the nation...ide <br />permit.' The only requirement is that the officer responsible for t.'te <br />project insure that all conditions of the pe=it are complied with.
