Both actions were proposed to improve conditions for the <br />survival of the endangered humpback chub in Grand Canyon National Park. <br /> <br />Due to the high success in mechanical removal of non-native fhh, the Federal agencies are <br />proposing to expand the area of that action approximately 7 miL'> further downstream in the <br />Colorado River. The enclosed document provides the following information: results of the <br />ongoing mechanical removal, a description of the proposed modification, actions required for <br />the proposed modification to occur, effects of the proposed modification on resources in the <br />project area, cumulative impacts of the proposed modification and other proposed or ongoing <br />Federal and non-Federal projects, and environmental commitments made by the Federal <br />agencies in conducting the proposed modification. <br /> <br />If you have any concerns or issues with the proposed modification and wish to provide <br />comments to the Federal action agencies, please contact Dennis Kubly bye-mail at <br />dkublv@uc.usbr.aov or by letter at the following address: <br /> <br />Bureau of Reclamation <br />Upper Colorado Region <br />125 South State Street <br />Salt Lake City UT 84138-1147 <br /> <br />Your comments will need to be postmarked no later than Auaust 8. 2003.
