<br />A Bill to. permit a ao.mpact or agreement between the
<br />States 0.1' Arizona, Ca1ifarni!l, Calorada, 11evada, Hew Mexico.,
<br />Utah, and ~yoming respecting the dispasitian and apportion-
<br />ment of the wators of the Calorada River, and far other pur-
<br />pases,

<br />"WHEREAS, the Colarada River and its several tributaries
<br />rise within and flow thraugh or from the boundaries between
<br />the States 0.1' Arizana, Califarnia, Colarado, Nevada, New
<br />Mexico, Utah, and Hyaming; "nd

<br />"WHEREAS, the territory included within the drainage
<br />area 0.1' the said stream and its tributaries is largely arid
<br />and in small part irrigated, and tl:e present and future de-
<br />velopment necessities and general welfare 0.1' each 0.1' said
<br />States and 0.1' the United States require the further USe 0.1'
<br />the waters of said strealllS far irrigatian and ather beneficial
<br />purpases, and that future litigeti an and conf'lict respecting
<br />the use and distribution of said waters shau1d be avaided and
